Her Severed Fingertip Was Miraculously Healed After Praying

Mona Dodgen shared their miracle story with me back in July 2026, but somehow I missed their comment reply for 9 weeks after I asked them to elaborate on their miracle story. Their severed finger was miraculously healed after praying fervently to God. Read their full story below.

My little brother slammed a door on my hand and cut off the end of my middle finger. We lived in Alaska in the far woods, the nearest hospital 3 hours by car. Mom rushed me to the local village to call the hospital to tell them we were on the way, be ready. Luckily the bush pilot was in town and overheard that conversation. He said, “Tell them to clear the parking lot, I will take her in.” So off I go in a plane, with Mom coming behind in the car. I was out of surgery before she got there, and they sewed the end of my finger back on. Healing began, but after a bit the sewn-on tip started turning black no matter how well we thought we were doing, and the doctor said, “We will have to remove it or she will get gangrene and die.” Mama pleaded, just one more week. Home we went. It just so happened that Oral Roberts the evangelist was preaching on TV and healing folks on stage. I asked Mama, “If I pray, will God heal my finger?” She answered that it wouldn’t hurt anyway, why not. So I prayed with all my 7-year-old heart and believed God could heal me. When we returned to the doctor, he unwrapped my bandages and fell to his knees. He cried, “It is healed. How can that be?” I answered him, telling him how I had prayed with all my heart and without ceasing. God healed me. He said that it was a miracle, for he never thought it would heal. Ever since, I believe and know that God is real. That finger isn’t pretty, but it is there and alive. I believe.
