During Cardiac Arrest She Experienced Heaven and Met God
Kim Taylor-Redman shared her miracle story with me via a comment on my miracle story video ad. During cardiac arrest she experienced heaven, meeting and conversing with God, who sent her back with a mission to save souls. Read her full story below.
Twenty-three years ago, I was 41 years old. I had gained 30 lbs in a month. My heart would flutter in excitement or stress.
My doctor didn’t listen to me and gave me Phen-Fen and said, “Stop eating!” I’m on Weight Watchers and I’m hardly eating.
The second day I took the Phen-Fen, I wasn’t feeling good that morning. God had His hand on me.
My husband was home, my son was in the backyard, and my daughter was at a girlfriend’s house. I told my husband I didn’t feel so good. I’m going to the bathroom.
I started throwing up so badly that I couldn’t breathe. My heart felt like someone was ripping my heart out of my chest. I screamed to my husband to call 911. My husband ran to my side. I knew I was going home to my precious Lord. I was the only one who knew CPR and knew my husband would never forgive himself. He needed to raise the children.
I prayed to the Lord to wait until the ambulance got to the house. I was calm but in major pain. Chuck left my side, and I died. Chuck was trying to get the firemen to hurry.
They found me catatonic. They dragged me to the foyer. They worked on me for 45 minutes. I was gray-toned, and my heart kept stopping. They got me in an ambulance, with Chuck in the front.
They were doing CPR all the way to Mission Hospital. My husband could see through the little window that I was having seizures and my heart was not turning on.
The ambulance called ahead about my husband and how big he is and how upset he is. “Bring support!”
We arrived and they brought me into the critical side. The head charge nurse took my case. She was a neighbor two blocks away. The doctor was a Christian. Every 10 minutes working on me, the doctor would call it.
The nurse kept asking him to keep going. He listened. Fifty minutes and five times calling it, my heart started.
They told my husband that I wasn’t going to make it through the night. My pupils were blown.
My husband asked them to keep any negative information away. “Please don’t say it around my wife! I don’t want her to give up!”
The next morning, they did a brain scan. They were so shocked. My brain and heart were working. My other organs stopped working.
This is going to be a fight.
They put me in the CCU in a coma for a month. I woke up but didn’t know why I was in a hospital. My arms were wrapped, and I had six poles with so many tubes in me.
I had necrotic tissue on my arms and feet. I had black fingers and toes. They gave me fasciotomies on both arms. Dead tissue.
I had to learn everything all over again — talk, walk, breathe, etc.
I was full of happiness. I had such joy, hope, and life. I remember going to heaven. I heard God’s voice so clearly. I woke up with such a peace I never had. I wasn’t concerned about anything.
I shared with Chuck months later about my amazing journey to heaven.
I went into a white room without corners. God spoke and shared about my life and the good and bad I went through. He spoke beautiful words to me.
All of a sudden, I’m in a field of long grass, trees, bushes, a stream of water, and a gorgeous white horse.
The colors were brilliant and luminous at the same time—colors I knew but different at the same time. I was completely full of joy and bewilderment, an unexplainable happiness. I was among God and just felt amazing. The joy in my heart felt like going down a roller coaster with the thrill of a heart, every time breathing in and out the Holy Spirit.
The colors would dilate my eyes because of the brilliant and luminous colors they were. There is no sense of time, no urgency to go anywhere, just embracing the moment. I could see the Earth like an astronaut, but had no longing to go back.
The Lord said, “I need you to go back to Earth.” I asked if we could stay, but I understood if You need to use me as a vessel. He said, “Yes, I need you to save as many people before I come. I need you to share My love, My joy, My forever lasting life in heaven. Share your miracle and bring people to the Lord.”
I told the Lord that I would be obedient and I would go back to do His work. I had no memory of family or anything like that. I was just in the moment with God, feeling His warmth and His love. I so wanted to stay and just be there in that field. There was no shade at all under the trees or bushes. His glory pierced through everything.
There’s way more to the story, but at this point I’ve already written way too much. But God has used me amazingly in these 23 years, sharing about Jesus Christ and sharing about the miracle that He did with me. Because of how I look — I look different — people see it and they ask questions. At first I was a bit embarrassed by my left arm, but now I know it’s God’s tool to get people to come up and ask me.
I’m completely an open Christian and always ask God for opportunities to bring people into my life every day so that I can share about Him and how wonderful God is. I thank God for the gift He has given me and am so thankful that I was able to raise my children and be with my husband.
Both my children are in helping professions. My daughter is a head charge nurse for heart and liver transplants, and my son is a fireman. My son-in-law is a police officer, so we all serve for God. God has been so amazing and such a blessing.
I always tell people, what do you have to lose? If you believe in God, there’s nothing to lose except everlasting eternal life.
I hope you enjoyed my story.
